When a patient is seen by a doctor or medical specialist, a medical record of the visit is created.  Doctors dictate important information concerning the patient visit.  The medical transcriptionist is the person who "transcribes" the medical information (changes oral reports to written form) to be produced as an electronic record within a computerized system.  Medical transcriptionists (MTs) ) now have a job as long as people get sick, injured, or  visit healthcare professionals for any reason.

You will use Bright Start™ to establish your education foundation.  Then you complete our Mentored Internship™ Program to refine your skills and develop the hands-on knowledge to create a polished medical document.  When you graduate, you qualify to enter our Job Placement Program.  

 

Our Job Placement Program has placed over 95% of our graduates.  We have a standing order for new graduates from top medical transcription companies.

  • You will learn the basics of the Word program, proper grammar, “keystroke shortcuts” and chart templates that you will use to format and quickly create medical transcription chart notes
  • You will learn the technology of online computer basics- upload, download, etc
  • Become an expert at clinic transcription reports by completing Mentored Internship™
  • You're ready!  Enter our Job Placement Program and become a medical transcriptionist

Q.  I’ve recently become semi-retired and I want to earn some additional income working part time.  Can I expect to find a job?


A.  Yes!!  Many of our students are semi-retired like you.  It is easy to place part-time medical transcriptionists if they are highly trained, responsible and somewhat flexible.
