Medical Transcription Make Up Class

You graduated from a medical transcription Diploma Mill and now you find you can’t get a job!  Is this you:

• You can’t meet the 2 year experience requirement
• You’re taking the long and scary employer typing tests and not passing
• You really have no clue how to configure your computer to work from home
• Employer software templates have you baffled- you’ve never seen them before
• You have absolutely no employer support network after graduating
• Sadly, no one is responding to your resume

Hmmm, we don’t have to actually talk to you because we hear these sad statements all the time from graduates of medical transcription Schools-In-A-Box.

Maybe you saved a couple of hundred dollars; maybe not.  You went to school so you could get a job and work from Home.  We wish you’d have come here first, but you didn’t so let’s improve your training and get you working from home.

This is the Make Up Class.  It is a variation of our Mentored Internship™.  It has two levels of training; Level I and Level II.  You’ll be interviewed and you’ll take a test for us.  Then the Make Up Class is adapted specifically for you so you can polish your skills and start right to work through our Job Placement Program. 

This class does not cover any of basic medical transcription training included in Bright Start.  The Make Up Class is prepared by your Counselor and Mentor/Teacher. 

• You will be advanced to the intern level appropriate for you to finish your training 
• You will have one-on-one feedback from a real transcriptionist. Wow - Finally 
• Support after graduation from our Job Placement Program.  You’ll need a Job and we have them.  

NOTE:  It is assumed that the graduate of another program has learned basic skills and only needs advanced training to be able to get a job.  If the grad's training was inadequate in basic skills, then the student may be required by the Counselor to take a class or part of a class in addition to the Make Up Class.  We're very sorry that this is such a common occurrence.  We will try to limit additional training and costs as much as we can.  Your Counselor and Mentor will make the recommendations and every attempt will be made to be flexible. 

We will accept graduates from other schools into the Make Up Class to finish their education, if the school you attended did not educate you well enough to be employed or did not guarantee you Job Placement. 

Learning isn’t about absorbing facts.  It’s acquiring understanding

Class Length:  Level I is approx. 33 training days.  You will mentor with a professional transcriptionist(s) and you are required to complete the work promptly.  You have finished 55% of the Class after completing Level I.  After receiving counselor approval you advance to Level II.  Level II is not a timed section.  You should produce work at a 95% accuracy level.  You must be able to return precise work in the required time frame.  You have completed Level II upon administrative acceptance of your work.  Level II is designed to prepare you for immediate employment.  The student is given a maximum of  three (3) months to complete this class.    

Unfortunately, some students spend thousands of dollars on inferior training. 

Many transcription school graduates come to us recommended by employers that would not hire them because of "inadequate education".
